How Transparent is the Ontario Government, Really?

Minister Nina Tangri's office acknowledged and responded promptly to my inquiry regarding WSIB premiums back in October, which I appreciated...however,

Since that time, I have followed up on several occasions with the Director of Stakeholder Relations at the Ministry of Labour regarding questions I raised about WSIB claims and how the integrity of these systems is protected.

To date, I have not received a response.

These are not abstract concerns. They relate directly to public trust, transparency, and the ability of residents to understand and navigate systems that materially affect their lives.

If a prospective City Council candidate cannot obtain basic follow-up communication, it raises a broader question: how accessible and accountable are these systems for the general public?

I remain hopeful that clarity and dialogue will follow. Open communication is essential to public confidence in our institutions.

I also note recent public reporting that the Minister of Labour, David Piccini, is now under review by the Integrity Commissioner.

Transparency and responsiveness are foundational to maintaining trust in public institutions -- particularly when questions are raised.
